Virat Kohli’s Class 10 Marksheet Goes Viral Again After Test Retirement

Virat Kohli’s Class 10 Marksheet Goes Viral Again After Test Retirement.

After Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, an old picture of his Class 10 CBSE marksheet has gone viral again. This same image was first shared in 2023 by IAS officer Jitin Yadav.

Now, with the recent 2025 CBSE results and Kohli’s retirement, the marksheet is once again trending online. It reminds people that good marks are not the only way to succeed in life.

The marksheet shows that Kohli scored 419 out of 600 marks. He did well in English, Hindi, and Social Science, but his marks in Maths, Science, and IT were more average. He scored:

English: 83

Social Science: 81

Hindi: 75

Maths: 51

Science & Tech: 55

Introductory

IT: 74

While sharing the marksheet, the IAS officer wrote: “If marks were the only thing that mattered, the whole country wouldn’t support him today. Passion and dedication are what truly count.”

Many people agreed with this thought. One user said,

“Kohli has both a valid marksheet and strong dedication – that’s what made him successful and a pride of our country.”

Another wrote,

“Success is more than just Science and Maths.”

A third added,

“Marks are just numbers. True value is in hard work and dedication.”

Virat Kohli Retires from Test Cricket

Virat Kohli, one of India’s greatest cricketers, announced his retirement from Test matches through an emotional Instagram post. He spoke about his 14-year journey, starting from when he first wore the Indian Test jersey. He said the decision was tough but felt right.

Kohli wrote:

“It’s been 14 years since I first played Test cricket. I never imagined how this journey would be. It tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons for life. Playing in whites feels deeply personal – the hard work, the long days, the small unseen moments that stay with you.”

He added:

“Leaving this format is not easy, but I feel it’s the right time. I gave it my all, and it gave me back even more. I’m grateful – to the game, my teammates, and everyone who supported me. I’ll always remember my Test career with a smile.”

Earlier, in June last year, Kohli had also retired from T20 internationals. However, he will continue to play in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
